Acción Valerosa is a non-profit organization that was born as a result of Hurricane María focused on continually training and developing citizen leaders and healthy and supportive communities. This organization with the support of Save The Children and community volunteers; restored the court facilities of the community of Sabana, Jofraín Rivera Ayala to receive the children and have a central and safe location to carry out different activities. Today Acción Valerosa receives children every day from 1pm to 4pm offering them workshops and recreational and sports activities that are completely voluntary and free of cost.
Among the programs and activities that they have developed and offered with passion, focus and success, we mention some of these below: Band Classes, Extended hours for students, Agriculture Vocational Program, Harvest Life Integrate, Live and Discover Fine arts, Sport, Cultural focus activities: Rhythm and Culture and others.
Today they started: Cialeña Academy, where free Marimbo striping courses (Guiro) and Plena Masterclass. Two courses will begin soon in October: Art of Enea and Pump Barrel Construction. If you are interested in any of these workshops, contact us.
